8 Months

Evan you are 8 months old!

This past month was a big one.  You had a lot of firsts!  I am desperate for time to stand still because it seems like I blink and another month goes by.

Eat

Your eating schedule is similar to last month with just a few minor changes.  First off, you no longer nurse after I get home from work.  You have cut out that eating time and just eat solids.  This means that the only time that you will truly nurse is very early in the mornings or the middle of the night (both of which doesn't happen too often).  I'm having a little bit of  a hard time with that, but I guess each baby has to move on eventually.  You are still not on any formula.  You have tried many new foods this month including meats!  We pretty much give you anything now.  You eat puffs sometimes and we are soon going to be giving you more finger foods.

Sleep

You are currently taking 2-3 nap per day.  Your bedtime is 7pm and you wake up around 6am every morning.  Sometimes you fight naps, but you are getting better about putting yourself to sleep.  You have this new thing though where you don't want to take your bottle before bed.  We have to get you up about 2 hours after you go to sleep and give you your bottle while you are half asleep.  Whatever works!

Sizes

You are currently wearing mostly 9 month outfits but can still fit into a lot of your 6 month clothes.  You are STILL wearing size 2 disposable diapers.  You have a teeny tooshie!

Thanksgiving Break - Part 2

Our last stop on our Thanksgiving trek was to visit Matt's family in Temple.  We had to cut the trip a little short because Matt had to be back for the playoff football game on Friday afternoon.  We got to spend Thanksgiving day at his house and the weather was absolutely gorgeous!  I took some pictures outside of his family with our little boy.

Mema spent the entire time loving on our handsome Evan.

When we got home we immediately kicked it into Christmas gear!  Matt was in charge of the outdoors, and I was tackling the indoors.  We took some quick pictures of Evan in front of the tree.  I hope to get some better ones in a few days.

Our beautiful tree all lit up at night...

Matt worked hard to decorate our home for the holidays.

After spending 9 days with family and friends, we have a LOT to be thankful for!
